Guatemalan Woven Cotton - Yellow Multi-Colored Stripe

This colorful and beautiful 100% cotton fabric is woven in Guatemala. The stripe of the fabric run vertically along the selvage. This fabric is mid-weight, perfect for skirts, pants, and light weight jackets.  Because of the narrower width of this fabric (and its weight), this is perfect for traditional garments with (mostly) straight-edged pattern pieces like the 108 Turkish Coat, 118 Tibetan Panel Coat, 113 Kimono, 112 Japanese Field Clothing, and 129 Japanese Hapi and Haori.

Fabric is sold by the 1/2 yard (you may order multiples of 1/2 yards; all yardage us cut as one continuous length.)

• 100% cotton.
• mid-weight - soft hand and gets softer with wash and wear.
• 34" (86.4cm) wide.
• We recommend for the first washing to hand wash or soak fabric in a combination of water and a small amount of non-iodized salt (kosher is okay) to set the colors  Always pre wash your cloth before sewing to get rid of any shrinkage and set colors. After setting the colors the fabric may be machine washed in cold water using a mild soap.
• Line dry or gentle cool tumble dry.
